1. Check Door Gaskets & Rubber Seals

Test your door seal by closing the freezer door on a piece of paper or currency note. If you can pull the note out easily without friction, your magnetic door gasket is loose or damaged and needs replacement.

2. Avoid Storing Hot Food Inside

Placing steaming or warm food dishes directly into the freezer releases water vapor into the air. This moisture condenses instantly on the cold freezer walls and freezes into hard ice layers. Always cool food down to room temperature first.

3. Inspect the Defrost Assembly (Frost-Free Fridges)

If you own a double door or frost-free refrigerator and thick ice is blocking the back freezer panel:
